See a famous hotel with a Titanic connection .Visit bookshops such as Skoob a mecca for secondhand finds , Judd St for reduced price new books and the famous "Gays the Word", Englands first LGBT+ bookshop. Here about "Stella & Fanny" and other lives of scandalous visitors and residents to the area, including the Eliots ! We will pass the Art Deco edifice, that George Orwell used as inspiration for a famous ministry, and Hitler declined to bomb during the Blitz , and the house where Charles Dickens wrote Oliver Twist. We will finish the trip at his local hostelry the three hundred year old pub “The Lamb” Where we can take a beverage in its cosy atmospheric interior, complete with “SnobScreens” !
